I have a couple comments on your recent videos.
The last few days my mind has been a chatterbox at each sitting and trying to “force” the thought threads into obedience has been impossible. Many would translate this as failure and quit. Your recommendation to lean into the discomfort is solid…that’s the point of being present! And continuing to sit is, at the very least, an exercise in self discipline.
Your last post reminds me of yet another sticky on my refrigerator that says, “The secret of life is enjoying the passage of time”.
I hear you. Turning the mind off. That’s the trick, if there is one. We can’t turn our minds off but what can we do with our awareness to shift our experience?
