A couple things….I thought you were spot on re the concept of being vs doing and our intrinsic self-worth vs feeling like a failure. We do, indeed, have to have faith that we are ok but I don’t find it so easy to default to there when I “miss my mark”. There is an immediate default to the negative and it sometimes takes a lot of self talk and self reassurance to get back to knowing I’m ok. It’s a task to restore the balance of intellectual vs emotional knowledge. I read something interesting a few days ago that fits. “Our sense of self worth bounces around like a ping pong ball rising and falling in lock-step with our our latest success/failure.”
During your discussion on day 23 I kept returning to one of my beliefs….”There is a freedom (and power) in powerlessness”.
My meditation is becoming a habit!
Thanks for the videos.
